Do I have to say anymore?!?!?!?
What an impressive Padres debut for Cha Seung Baek. Baek couldn’t even last 5 full innings. Like I said in an earlier post, let our minor leaguers gain experience with those valuable throw away innings. If we would have given tonights start to a minor leaguer, he couldn’t have done much worse. We all know Baek’s lifetime ERA of almost 5; and it showed tonight giving up 4 earned in just under 5 innings. On a happier note, Adrian Gonzalez is a stud this year. It’s unfortunate to know that all of his offensive production is doing very little for the Padres because the Padres are always down by more runs than A Gon can produce each game. The Padres aren’t going to improve much for the next couple of years, so as much as I don’t want to say this, I think KT should trade Adrian Gonzalez for a super prospect or two and let them grow into stars with the Padres like Peavy. To end this post, Baek needs to ride the pine and we need to let the minor leaguers play and see what they can do.
